Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, named after Indonesia’s first president. The area consists of 284 ha green land not only as a sporting complex, but also serves as a city park in the heart of Jakarta. The huge steel roof forms a massive ring called temu gelang (joined ring), protecting spectators from the harsh tropical sun and exhibits the modern architecture.
