Lamalera is a small village in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province of Indonesia, where its people still practicing their ancestor's customs of hunting the sperm whale. The Lamafa, stand in the tip of his boat and will jump eventually when they are close enough to the whale.

It's been said that there are only 3 places in the planet where whale hunting is still in practice. One of them in Lamalera.
